My inspiratioto pursue a career in massage therapy came while working as a registered nurse and caring for those who suffered neurological and cognitive impairments, such as stroke, spinal cord and traumatic brain injury. The profound healing benefits from both manual and physical therapy, coupled with my passion to make an immediate difference in the lives of others, solidified my decision to choose this path.

My treatment approach begins with a thorough assessment and leads into the correction of any obvious muscular imbalances. By incorporating skilled manual techniques along with passive stretching, I aim to restore balance, calm your nervous system and boost your immune system. Because my intention is to make a difference in how you feel, think and live, my hope is that after just one session with me it will become more clear to you exactly why MassageMatters.

Each practitioner who joins the BeyondBeing studio will share a common vision of wellness through client education and manual therapy and together we will strive to make the difference you are seeking. Our expertise in bodywork, coupled with skilled assessment of physical|postural modifications and implementation of a unique meditative practice to cool the pain by calming the mind, enhances our ability to therapeutically touch your life by realigning and re-educating you, your mind and your body.

In the Press

Nursing Spectrum Magazine (Nurse.com) January 2013

My professional experience encompasses over 30 years combined in the fields of:  Clinical Nursing for the InPatient Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation population at National Rehabilitation Hospital (NRH), Clinical Research as a Clinical Research Associate (CRA) with Sigma Tau Pharmaceuticals, Outpatient Sports Medicine with OneMedicine Associates and, for the past 12 years, in the field of Complementary & Alternative Medicine while in private practice as a Nurse Massage Therapist. This enables me to offer a unique blend of traditional medical training with a variety of complementary healing modalities in an attempt to heal others.

I will create a safe and comforting environment while addressing the complex medical, rehabilitative and/or emotional needs that you may have, and will make it my priority to work in alignment with your other healthcare providers.
